MHTN Professional Spotlight: Angelica Pavoni

Here at MHTN, we strive to make visions a reality. We want to recognize those who make this possible by highlighting our talented team members.

Celebrating her 14th year with MHTN, Angelica Pavoni brings a passion for collaboration and evolving building technologies to our office. We asked her to tell us a little bit about herself.

Where did you grow up? Where did you go to school?

I grew up in Lawrence, New York located in the southeastern part of Long Island. I attended Syracuse University's School of Architecture and received my Bachelor of Architecture in 1991.

When did you first know you wanted to work in architecture?

I first realized I had an interest in Architecture as a profession after visiting Greece and Turkey on a family vacation when I was in high school.

What are you passionate about and how does that intersect with your job?

The practice of Architecture is constantly evolving.  The development of building technologies and the incorporation of sustainable design provides an environment where you are constantly learning new things.

What do you most love about your current job?

I really love seeing the results of a highly collaborative design process. Our recently completed Student Life Center and the School of Dentistry at the University of Utah were both great experiences for me and are great examples of collaboration between the design team and owner.

What are some interesting things about you? What do you enjoy doing outside of the office?

Being a transplant to Utah I really appreciate the access to the outdoors.  I enjoy camping, skiing and mountain biking with my husband Mark and our two sons Alex and Nicholas.
